Today is my defense in feasib, sa mga hindi nakaka-alam, technically 3rd defense ko na to. the 1st one ended pretty (really!) badly yung 2nd one naman ended up in a rather hilarious situation, which I rather not recall. hehehe.

The venue: Mapua Institute of Technology, Makati Campus. The defense will be held at 7:30 pm or so as sir sy said, he will contact me if the defense will be postponed. (sana naman itext nya ako ng maaga, taga cavite kasi ako. rawr.)

Anyway, ngayon palang, hindi na maitimpla ng maayos yung tyan ko. mixed emotions ika nga, kabado, excited, anxious, lahat na, my hormones are going beserk, really. unti unti ko na ring nirereview yung final draft ko (which contained a lot of TYPOS, yikes.) can’t think straight. ah basta, ganito pala ang feeling. This is not my first time in a defense really, Ok lang sana kasi kung, MAY KAGRUPO AKO. but what the heck, I chose to be in this path, when I rather had groupmates in the first place.

many people asked me on why I chose to be a one-girl-team in feasib, I was afraid to answer them at first, baka kasi magmukhang mayabang ako at baka in the long run, hindi ko naman talaga kaya. I said na,

1. Mahirap manghagilap ng kagrupo lalo na kung magkakaibang batch kayo.
2. Mahirap hagilapin ang kagrupong doble pa ang natitirang units sayo.

Ilan lamang yan sa mga rason on why I didn’t join the other groups. swerte pa nga ngayon at pinapili ni sir ang mga estudyante nya to create their own groups. I could easily join and create my JPCS-exclusive groups agad, pero hinde, I chose to be own my own. Hindi naman sa minamaliit ko sila, its just that these groups will be submitting their final drafts on the next school year. Mahirap naman kung ipagpipilitan ko sa kanila na ipasa ng 2nd term diba? haay.

Being a one-girl-team in a feasibility study has its own perks. But what about the other side? what are the reasons exactly kung bakit nga ba 5-man team ang coe411D?

1. Ideas - First I thought that this would be my edge. I was overflowing with ideas, not really polished, but I had them. But after a couple of weeks, my engine broke down. The idea engine machine suddenly came to an unexpected halt, leading to procastination.
2. Manpower - another weakpoint that was turned into an advantage. I no longer needed to send my groupmates a train of messages just to tell them to check our yahoo groups. But, when it comes to research, for example , Its kinda hard to ask your friends to check if how your equipments cost. The internet helped, but it still didn’t worked. Another good example is yung this defense. I have to go to Makati from cavite all by myself with the laptop and final draft, while wearing a semi-formal attire. I opt for a skirt, but with all those heavy load, I don’t think my skirt will make it.
3. Companion - where else would you ask details for? even if your groupmates doesn’t have the slightest idea on what to put on your paper, it’s a fun thing to have somebody around to talk to(called brainstorming) even if the conversation is 99% chismis and 1% feasib paper ideas. Group overnights still are the best, without the booze of course. If it weren’t for janet, toni and tom, my second feasibility experience will not be a breeze.

These are some of the reasons. These challenges helped me to learn a lot, but still, I have to persue. heck, My mom now makes fun of my feasib situation recently, she said that,

” anu ba yan, natapos na ang design2 mo at lahat-lahat, may feasib ka pa rin? makinig ka naman sa prof mo, anak, gawin mo nang lahat ng papagawa nya, para matapos na to.”

funny how my mom could extract a ridiculous comment  on such a crucial subject for me.
